LRCSS presents educational opportunities for parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with ASD or an Intellectual Disability. Educational opportunities vary with complexity, interest, diagnosis and age of child. Workshop objectives promote transferring of knowledge through practical application of child and adolescent skill development.

Lake Ridge Community Support Services is excited to partner with Durham Catholic District School Board to present Toileting Success: How You Can Make It Happen!
Going to and using the toilet is an exciting and sometimes challenging step for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This workshop teaches parents how to recognize signs of readiness for toilet training, provides positive strategies to help children achieve success with day time and night time toilet training, and advice on how to deal with toilet training setbacks and difficulties.
