Location: Grandview Children's Centre, 600 Townline Rd S, Oshawa
Learning how to communicate our wants and needs is important for all individuals. While communication can take a variety of forms (Verbal, PECS, Sign Language, etc.) the tips and tricks to facilitating their success remain the same. This workshop will aim to teach families the skills needed to be successful when introducing a communication system.

- How can we create motivation?
- Preference assessments
- How to expect communication
Parents will participate in interactive discussions to better understand how they can support their child at home.
Parents/caregivers of a child aged 3 to 7 years old with ASD registered with the Ontario Autism Program and living in the Durham Region. No cost required.
