Celebrating 40 Years of Growth at LRCSS

Forty years ago, Lake Ridge Community Support Services began its journey with the mission to provide individualized, quality, behavioural services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

We established our roots during a time of great transition, ready to support individuals as institutions closed their doors and a new era of community-based service and support began. We didn’t just fill a gap; we worked together with our community to plant the seeds for a more inclusive future.

Growth, however, isn’t just about getting bigger—it’s about getting better. As the needs of our community evolved, so did we. We understood the need for early intervention, leading us to branch out and partner to provide autism programs for young children.

Today we provide lifespan services. By supporting those children and families and continuing to provide services to adults, we have watched many children and youth grow to become thriving adults.

We continue to evolve and grow with the needs of our community. We have moved beyond merely providing services to creating an environment where people don’t just live—they thrive.

After four decades, our story is still being written. We are continuing to grow, continuing to adapt, and continuing to ensure that our community remains a place where everyone has the room to reach their full potential.

Follow along as we reflect on our journey and look ahead to an even brighter future for our community.

Forty years of growth. Forty years of heart. And we’re just getting started.

Signed
