WE’RE HIRING

Senior Behaviour Technician

(Full-time, 1 Year Contract)

Lake Ridge Community Support Services has full-time, 1 year contract positions for Senior Behaviour Technician (SBT). SBTs play a key role in supporting children, youth, and adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant/ Registered Behaviour Analyst, the SBT will work within the Fee-Based Program, delivering individual and/or group services. Service delivery may take place at a designated Lake Ridge location, in the client’s home, or within a supported living environment. The specific location will be determined based on program needs at the time of hire. SBTs may support clients across the lifespan, including children, youth, and adults.

Qualifications

What’s your role?

  • Participate in assessment activities including interviews and data collection

  • Implement ABA based behaviour strategies

  • Prepare materials for sessions/mediator training

  • Deliver evidence-based caregiver coaching

  • Assist with completion of Preventative Protocols, Safety Plans, Behaviour Plans and Progress Reports, as assigned by the Behaviour Consultant/Behaviour Analyst

  • Complete all required client notes, visits and other required documentation in AlayaCare

  • Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

What skills are we looking for?

  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field and a minimum of two years’ related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • International Behavior Technician (IBT) certification would be an asset

  • Thorough understanding of ABA principles/techniques and ability to apply knowledge to a variety of situations and settings, including complex clinical presentations

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to provide services to clients and deal with crisis situations, and good time management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to collaborate on socially significant goals

  • Demonstrates ability to describe common functions of behaviour and analyze/report data

  • Ability to establish good working professional relationships with clinicians, clients and caregivers

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, and ability to use office equipment efficiently

  • Safe Management and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset

  • Ability to travel within the region and work flexible hours, as required

Salary Range: $53,900 - $58,300

WE’RE HIRING

Behaviour Consultant

(Full-time, 1 Year Contract)

Lake Ridge Community Support Services (LRCSS) has a full-time, 1 year contract position for a Behaviour Consultant. The Behaviour Consultant provides behaviour therapy services to children, youth and/or adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities,including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will report to the Clinical Manager.

Qualifications

What’s your role?

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and skill assessments to inform treatment planning

  • Develop individualized, person-centered behaviour plans aligned with client goals

  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated planning and service delivery

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation to align with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) professional standards

  • Prepare clinical reports such as Behaviour Support Plans, Progress Reports and Transition Plans to share strategies, show progress and support ongoing care. Knowledge of Quality Assurance Measure (QAM) is an asset.

  • Conduct mediator workshops, facilitates educational groups, creates internal/external staff training workshops (i.e., Lunch and Learn)

  • Contribute to projects and participates on internal/external committees as assigned

  • Meet regularly with the Clinical Manager to review assessment data, Behaviour Plans, progress and ensure alignment with high quality, ethical person-centred treatment.

  • Act as clinical lead observing, collaborating, assigning tasks, providing feedback and monitoring the performance of assigned Behaviour Technicians, where applicable

  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to team training activities

What skills are we looking for?

  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field and a minimum of two years’ related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) with the CPBAO or working towards full registration with the CPBAO by 2025 (or by 2026 may also be considered)

  • Good knowledge of intervention strategies based on assessment results and scientific evidence

  • Demonstrated ability to describe common functions of behaviour and analyze data

  • Ability to identify essential components of a behaviour reduction plan

  • Ability to establish good working professional relationships with clients, caregivers and community professionals

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to provide behaviour therapy services to clients and facilitate meetings

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to assess behaviours, create treatment plans and resolve client issues

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, AlayaCare database and ability to use office equipment efficiently is an asset

  • Ability to travel within the region and work flexible hours, as required

Salary Range: $69,000 - $73,000
