Group Services: Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome! We are excited that you’re considering our group programs. To help you navigate the process, we’ve put together a simple guide on what to expect.
-
Our registration follows a simple 4-step process:
Submit the Form: Complete the Group Registration Form online.
Confirmation: Our Intake Team will email you to let you know we’ve received it.
Eligibility Review: We review your child's profile to ensure the group is a good fit.
Meet & Greet: If eligible, you’ll be invited to a "Meet & Greet" (offered on a first-come, first-served basis).
Note: An invitation to a Meet & Greet is a wonderful step, but it does not guarantee a spot in the group. If you are ineligible for the group, the team will discuss options with you.
-
The Meet & Greet is a chance for your child to interact with potential peers. Our team observes the group dynamic to ensure the environment is safe, supportive, and successful for every participant.
-
We run four sessions per year: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. * Planning Ahead: Groups are posted on our website 3–4 months in advance.
Intake Window: We begin the intake process about 2 months before the group start date.
Pro-Tip: Our groups are in high demand, so we recommend checking the website early!
-

Focus Time: Able to sit and engage with a class or screen for 20 minutes.
Independence: Can participate with minimal help from a caregiver.
Safety: Any challenging behaviours are very low or easily managed by a caregiver at home.
-
Group Size: Small groups of 6–7 participants with 2 trained facilitators.
Clinical Oversight: Every group is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst.
Length: Fall, Winter, and Spring groups run for 11-12 weeks. Summer groups are a fast-paced 4 weeks.
