👋 Helping Kids Make Friends & Play Together.

A 12-week group program that helps children ages 6–8 build communication, cooperation, and friendship skills in a fun, supportive, and structured environment.

Led by caring, ABA-trained facilitators, children explore social connection through fun lessons, role play, and positive feedback. We support your child in building confidence and learning skills they can apply at school, at home, and with their peers.

Program Details:

🗓️ Client Sessions: January 6, 2027 to March 24, 2027

👩🏾‍🏫 Caregiver Training: Includes 2 Sessions

⏰ Schedule: Weekly on Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

📍 Location: 900 Hopkins St. Unit 8, Whitby, ON L1N 6A9

💰 Cost: $2,160.48

🧑‍🏫 Led by ABA-trained facilitators with oversight by an RBA

✅ Handling challenges – Coping with frustration, turn-taking, and minor school recess conflict without having a meltdown.

How We Teach Social Navigation: Behavioral Skills Training (BST)

At Lake Ridge Community Support Services, our social skills groups use Behavioral Skills Training (BST)—an evidence-based behavioural model.

At our practice, we use Behaviour Skills Training (BST)—an evidence-based approach designed to help children and teens master new skills with confidence. We break learning down into four simple  steps:

  • Tell: Simple visual and verbal instructions broken down step-by-step.

  • Show: We show your child how it's done using live examples and videos.

  • Do: Guided practice during sessions to build real confidence.

  • Support: Immediate positive praise and helpful coaching tips.
