How We Teach Social Navigation: Behavioral Skills Training (BST)
At Lake Ridge Community Support Services, our social skills groups use Behavioral Skills Training (BST)—an evidence-based behavioural model.
At our practice, we use Behaviour Skills Training (BST)—an evidence-based approach designed to help children and teens master new skills with confidence. We break learning down into four simple steps:
Tell: Simple visual and verbal instructions broken down step-by-step.
Show: We show your child how it's done using live examples and videos.
Do: Guided practice during sessions to build real confidence.
Support: Immediate positive praise and helpful coaching tips.
