A 13-week group for teens ages 13–17 with autism or intellectual disabilities who are ready to build advanced social-emotional skills—focusing on emotional regulation, self-advocacy, healthy relationships, and navigating the online world.
Each week blends discussion and guided practice on real-life topics that matter most to teens. Sessions cover social skills and the internet, healthy relationships, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy. Teens will also develop self-awareness, empathy, and social flexibility while preparing for real-world situations, including a community outing.
Program Details:
🗓️ Client Sessions: September 9 – December 2, 2025
⏰ Schedule: Weekly on Tuesdays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM
📍 Location: 900 Hopkins St. Unit 8, Whitby, ON L1N 6A9
🎯 Community Outing: A local restaurant
💰 Cost: $2,062.50

✅ Navigating the online world – Social media etiquette, online boundaries, safety, and preventing/responding to cyberbullying
✅ Resolving conflict respectfully – Problem-solving strategies, managing misunderstandings, and using empathy to understand others’ perspectives
✅ Building confidence and self-advocacy – Recognizing strengths, setting healthy boundaries, and expressing needs effectively
✅ Managing complex emotions – Coping with feelings like jealousy, embarrassment, rejection, and social anxiety
✅ Forming healthy relationships – Understanding consent, hygiene, and the difference between healthy and unhealthy interactions
✅ Adapting to change – Staying flexible when plans or social dynamics shift
